CSS and Scrollable Cards

Through my time at Flatiron’s software engineering program I have learned many things but one of the things that I have found to be interesting as well as challenging is CSS. My most recent venture in the field of styling has been creating cards that you can scroll horizontally.

In order to do this I did some research and I found that you can set values to overflow-x and overflow-y. If you want to scroll vertically you set the y value to auto and the x value to hidden. This will allow you to see a scroll bar on a card. This logically works because this tells our system that our y value is auto filled so we do not have a scroller to see horizontally.

This allowed me to create two cards in a recent project that allows me to have two independent feeds where users can scroll through and vote on different items within those two feeds. I found it useful because it allows you to create independent parts of a website and less redirections for the user. Everything the user needs to see would be on the one page.
