Legacy of my Mother

Outlast the devil’s wiles!!

> Transcribed from a hand written note

I always thought my mom’s life would end in regret, addition, abuse, loneliness, and physical anguish. Instead, it ended in redemption! Redemption that only God, through Jesus, by the Holy Spirit can give! She had made peace with her past sins and given over control of her forward life to Jesus. She and I had started “building a bridge” back to each other that we knew would not be easy. It was a bridge that was only enabled in me, through Jesus as well. I always loved my mother, but for a long time, I held sadness, pain, anger, separation anxiety, and regret. Like her, my peace is in Jesus and therefore was able to, eventually, give him all those burdens I carried. Today, I’m thankful, because God works all things for good according to his purpose, that Mom’s story is one of good. That He continues to use her redemption to work good in the lives of those she impacted. Amen.
