Digital Healthcare Era

Although the field of digital health care may sound unfamiliar, the hospital industry has already used various digital systems such as OCS (Ordering Communication System), CRM (Customer Relationship Management), and health care platforms for a long time.

Now, regardless of borders, it is developing into various fields such as customers and hospitals, customers and medical staff, remote treatment such as reservation systems, medical tourism, individual health care services, and specific disease alarm systems.

In particular, with the development of the 4th industry, IoT-based telemedicine, augmented/virtual healthcare, medical wearable equipment, and a smart hospital platform and Metaverse that connect them are being introduced at a very fast pace. Investment for digital healthcare industry has invested from about $1 billion in 2010 to over $21 billion in 2020, and it is reported that 42% of Americans using digital health trackers in 2019.

The healthcare industry, which has been limited to the existing physical service industry, is being transformed into a new digital industry through various IoT devices, platforms, and Metaverse that utilize the characteristic of hyper connectivity, hyper intelligence, and hyper delay of 5G. Through this, the healthcare industry is advancing into a new digital healthcare era like the 4th industry through the convergence of physical services and information and communication.
