Sobre a carta-manifesto assinada pela Catherine Deneuve, tão boba quanto uma certa coluna da Danuza Leão, na qual ambas defendem a virilidade do homem e o suposto direito sagrado ao xaveco. Bem, elas…

Stakes Social V3 Launch

Dev Protocol launched at the beginning of this year, with the goal of creating a new OSS economy by allowing Github users to tokenize their OSS projects and improving the economic incentives to support these projects. Dev Protocol achieves this through sustainable inflationary funding in which supporters are also rewarded for their participation. Creator rewards are programmed to be sent to the OSS token holder(s). The OSS token issuer can provide perks for staking for their project, share their token with contributors, implement governance, or put their token on 3rd party exchanges. The use cases are limitless.

Since our launch, 1,500 OSS projects joined Dev Protocol which received $700,000 in funding from $2M in total value locked. We’re grateful that Dev Protocol is funding critical OSS projects such as Vue-i18n, Chalk, Vyper, and Ink.

The Dev Protocol team is happy to release the revamped Stakes Social UI/UX. Our goal was to make the overall experience more social, seamless, and informative. Stakes Social builds social incentives ontop of the economic incentives and value Dev Protocol unlocks. The design provides users a more informative browsing experience so that they can choose which projects to support in fewer clicks.

We would like to thank our community, creators, and contributors for their inspiration and feedback during the design and development process.

The V3 homepage gives users a clear overview of each OSS project. Users can see a wallpaper, description, creator, their karma, and stakes and rewards for both the user and creator.

Users can also stake and withdraw DEV on the homepage. Withdraw only appears if the connected wallet is currently staking for that project or has unclaimed rewards. Clicking either option will open a layover for you to continue.

V3 also improves users’ exploration capabilities with search, filter, and sort by market. We want to ensure that our users can find projects they want to support. These new features allow our users to better filter through Dev Protocol’s 1,500+ OSS projects.

Since V3 is about making Stakes Social more social and informative we revamped Project Pools. Projects can now add their logo, description, and relevant links for supporters to check out. Users can find more information on the Creator on the bottom of the page.

Creators can now cultivate their Stakes Social brand. Our Creator manager will help you during the onboard to upload your photo, wallpaper, biography, and relevant links. Users will be able to learn more about you, the projects you’re working on, and which projects you’re supporting.

In V2 there were two clicks to redeem your rewards. Users had to cancel their staking period then withdraw their rewards. In V3 users can redeem their rewards in one click. Additionally, users can now click “DEV” to stake the maximum amount in their wallet or withdraw their entire stake.

Dev Protocol is now indexing all relevant data points to provide an ecosystem overview for our users. The goal is to provide information symmetry in an automated, clear, and concise manner to our stakeholders. Please let us know if there are other data points you’d like to see indexed.

The profile tab will appear when a user connects their wallet in V3. The profile aggregates your connected wallet(s) data to show your total staked, total rewards, and which projects your staking in. Users can manage their entire portfolio without leaving the profile section. Creators will see an overview of their onboarded OSS projects which they can manage from the profile page.

Stakes Social now supports the most popular Web 3 wallets: MetaMask, WalletConnect, Fortmatic, and WalletLink. In the following updates we’ll integrate support for Ledger. Please let us know if you’d like any other browser wallets integrated with Stakes Social.

Throughout Stakes Social V3 you’ll see currency converters. Simply click either DEV or USD and all applicable values will be displayed in your preferred currency.

What goes around comes around. We launched Karma to measure Dev Protocol’s creators using two parameters. Karma’s formula takes into account DEV staked for a creator and how many DEV that creator is staking for other OSS projects. Essentially, Karma can display your Stakes Social altruism which can be a metric that users take into account when choosing a project to stake DEV for.
