As the days pass, I hear many saying We can’t, we won’t return to business as usual. And asking Where can this go from here?

I’ve been physically sick for the last few days, and it’s provided me with the time to reflect on my own work and past failings as a white ally. One aspect of that work I’ve focused on is decentering the narrative — even my post from last week in immediate response to Floyd’s murder fell short. It was very much about my experience of these events. Another important thing I need to do is learn to be a follower to other leaders and learn to listen more. It is urgent to keep asking: How can I embody justice more fully?
